Word to PDF

Close, not identical. The layout is done here, page by page, with Word's rules for spacing, indents, tabs, lists and tables - but the fonts are different: a browser can't read the fonts installed on your computer, so the text is set in embedded families of the same kind (a serif for Times or Cambria, a monospace for Courier, a sans for the rest), and a line may break a word earlier or later than Word did. The tool lists every font it replaced. Nothing is uploaded; the conversion runs in your browser.

Paragraph formatting (alignment, indents, spacing, borders, shading), bold, italic, underline, colour, highlight, super- and subscript, bulleted and numbered lists, tables with borders, shading, merged cells and header rows, inline pictures (PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, WebP), page breaks, sections with their own page size and margins, headers and footers with PAGE and NUMPAGES fields, text boxes with their fill and border where Word placed them, footnotes at the foot of their page and endnotes after the text, and hyperlinks as clickable links.

Comments, tracked changes (deletions are dropped, insertions kept), shapes without text, text wrapping around a text box (the box sits over the text), pictures in EMF, WMF or TIFF, equations, and fields other than the page numbers. A document that leans on these is better saved as PDF from Word itself.

Not directly - the old binary format needs Word to read it. Open it in Word (or LibreOffice) and save it as .docx, then drop that here.
