Can I remove a password from a PDF?
Yes, if you know it: enter the password and the tool saves an unlocked copy. Files that merely restrict printing or copying (an owner password) are opened without any password at all.
Is this legal?
Only unlock files you own or are allowed to change. The tool removes protection, it does not break it - a file whose open password you don't know stays locked.
