Excel to PDF

The pages are cut where Excel would cut them: the sheet's paper, orientation, margins, scaling or fit-to-page, manual page breaks, print area and repeated title rows all come from the file, as do the header and footer with their page numbers. Cells keep their fills, borders, alignment, wrapping and merges, and numbers show through their formats - thousands, decimals, percent, currency, dates. Fonts are the difference: the text is set in embedded families of the same kind, squeezed to the original's width. Nothing is uploaded; the conversion runs in your browser.

The PDF shows the value Excel last calculated for each formula - the file carries it. A workbook saved by a program that writes formulas without values shows those cells empty; open and save it in Excel once.

Switch Width to "Fit to page width" and every column lands on one page across, scaled down as needed - the same as Excel's Fit All Columns on One Page. Otherwise the sheet's own scaling applies and the columns continue on the next pages.

Charts and shapes (pictures are placed where they sit); conditional formatting and data bars; comments; hidden sheets, rows and columns (as when printing); rotated text is drawn level. Cell values, formats, fills, borders and merges are all there.
