Remove duplicate pages from PDF
A stack fed through the scanner twice, a document merged in a second time, a cover repeated at every chapter. Each page is compared with the ones before it - by its text where it has any, by its look where it doesn't - and the repeats are marked for removal, each badged with the page it repeats, for you to check and correct before anything is deleted. The first occurrence always stays.

Frequently asked questions
How does it tell that two pages are the same?
By the text, where the page has any: two pages with the same text are the same page whatever they look like, and two pages with different text are different however alike they look - an invoice with one figure changed stays. Where there is no text - a scan - the pages are compared by their look, squeezed to a small grey thumbnail; the strictness sets how much difference (scanner noise, a slight skew, exposure) still counts as the same sheet. Blank pages are never matched; the Remove blank pages tool is for those.
Which copy is kept?
The first one. Every later repeat is marked, with a badge naming the page it repeats, so you can see the pair; click a mark to keep that page after all.
Do bookmarks and annotations survive?
Yes. The pages are removed in place - the rest of the document is untouched, so outlines, page labels, links and form fields stay as they were.
Is the PDF uploaded?
No. The pages are read and compared in your browser, and the file never leaves your device.
