How to convert PDF pages to JPG or PNG images: a step-by-step guide

Päivitetty 2. lokakuuta 2026

Tätä ohjetta ei ole vielä suomeksi, joten se näytetään englanniksi. Itse työkalu toimii suomeksi.

PDF to Image turns the pages of a PDF into pictures - for a slide, a website, a chat message, or an app that only takes images. Each page comes out exactly as it looks on screen, fonts and drawings included, as a JPG, PNG or WebP at the resolution you pick. The conversion runs in your browser; the file is never uploaded.

Lyhyesti

  1. Drop your PDF on the page, or press Add files.
  2. Choose the pages above the thumbnails - every page is chosen to begin with.
  3. Pick a Format, a Quality and a Resolution in the rail.
  4. Press Save as JPG (or PNG, WebP): the images are saved to your device straight away.

Add the files

Drop the PDF anywhere on the page, or press Add files - one file or several. Every page appears as a thumbnail, chosen for export.

PDF to Image with three files in the list: the selected brochure's four pages, all chosen, and the format options

Choose the pages

Click a thumbnail to leave that page out (or put it back), or use the bar above them: All, Invert, Odd, Even, Landscape, Portrait, Every Nth, or a range typed into the field - "2-3" for pages 2 and 3, "5-" from page 5 to the end - applied with Enter.

Format, quality and resolution

Pages 2 and 3 chosen, the format set to PNG and the resolution to 300 dpi; the hint says an A4 page comes out at 2480×3508 px
  • JPG - the smallest files, no transparency: photos and scans, anything going into an e-mail or a slide.
  • PNG - lossless and sharp: text, diagrams, screenshots. Bigger files. PNG has no quality setting - there is nothing to trade.
  • WebP - smaller than JPG at the same quality; every modern browser opens it.

Quality (Low, Medium, High) trades file size for sharpness in JPG and WebP. Resolution sets how many pixels an inch of the page gets: 72 dpi for a thumbnail, 150 dpi for the screen, 300 dpi for print. The hint under it says what an A4 page comes out at - 1240×1754 pixels at 150 dpi, 2480×3508 at 300.

Convert and save

Press Save as JPG - the button names the format you chose. The line under it counts the images. One image is saved as it is; several are saved together as a ZIP, each named after its file and page number ("Brochure_page-2.png"), numbered so they sort in order. The button then says Saved and turns into Save, which saves the same images again.

Several files at once

Above the file list, Apply to decides how the pages and the settings are chosen: under Selected file each file keeps its own pages, format and resolution; under All files one choice goes for every file - "page 1 of each, as PNG", say.

Limits

Without an account, and with a free one, you can convert two files in a run, each up to 15 MB. With Pro there is no limit on the number or the size, and you can save a format, quality and resolution as a preset.
