How to auto-rotate PDF pages upright: a step-by-step guide

更新日期:2026年10月2日

本指南尚未提供繁體中文版,因此以英文顯示。工具本身支援繁體中文。

A stack fed through the scanner every which way comes out with pages on their side and upside down. Auto-rotate PDF reads which way every page's text runs as the file loads and turns each page upright by its own quarter turn - you don't have to find them one by one. It all happens in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

重點摘要

  1. Drop your PDFs on the page, or press Add files.
  2. Wait a moment while every page is read - the thumbnails then show the pages upright.
  3. Check any page marked ? and turn it by hand if needed.
  4. Press Turn pages upright: the file is saved to your device straight away.

Add the files

Drop the PDFs anywhere on the page, or press Add files. Every page is read on arrival - the file list says how many pages of each file need turning. The thumbnails show the pages as they will come out, already upright, and a badge on each page that turns gives its turn: 90°, 180° or 270°.

Auto-rotate PDF with three files: in the scanned minutes the upside-down page carries a 180° badge and the sideways one a 90° badge
The upside-down page turns 180°, the sideways one 90° - the thumbnails show them already upright.

A page with a text layer is read exactly from the direction of its text. A scan without one is judged from the shape of its lines. Where there is too little to be sure - a page with only a heading, a table of figures, a photo - the thumbnail wears a ?: look at it and decide.

Turn pages by hand

Every page is chosen to begin with; click or drag on the thumbnails to narrow it down, or use the bar above them. 90° left, 180° and 90° right add a quarter turn to the chosen pages on top of what was detected. Read again reads the pages anew, and Reset at the top of the options goes back to what was detected.

Turn and save

Press Turn pages upright. The line under the button counts the pages that turn. The file is saved to your device at once - several files together as a ZIP. A quarter turn is lossless: the page is only marked as turned, nothing on it is redrawn or re-compressed.

Several files at once

Every file is read on its own, so a stack of scans is put right in one run. Under All files in Apply to, a hand turn becomes one rule on top of what was detected in each file - "every even page another 180°" for a duplex scan whose backs all came out upside down.

Limits

Without an account, and with a free one, you can turn the pages of two files in a run, each up to 15 MB. With Pro there is no limit on the number or the size.
