How to print several PDF pages on one sheet, or make a booklet: a step-by-step guide

Uuendatud 2. oktoober 2026

Seda juhendit pole veel eesti keeles, seetõttu kuvatakse see inglise keeles. Tööriist ise töötab eesti keeles.

Handouts with four slides a page, a draft printed two pages a sheet to save paper, a programme folded into a little booklet: N-up (Multiple Pages per Sheet) lays several pages of a PDF out on one sheet, or orders them for folding. The preview shows every sheet as it will be saved. Text and drawings stay sharp, since the pages are placed, not turned into images. It all happens in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Lühidalt

  1. Drop your PDFs on the page, or press Add files.
  2. Choose N-up and the pages per sheet, or Booklet.
  3. Set the sheet size, the margin and the borders if you like.
  4. Press Lay out sheets (or Make booklet): the file is saved to your device straight away.

Add the files

Drop the PDFs anywhere on the page, or press Add files. In the middle, every tile is one sheet of the result with its pages on it - exactly as it will be saved. The header says how many pages become how many sheets.

Several pages on a sheet

Under Layout, N-up puts the pages on the sheets in reading order. Pages per sheet is 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 or 16; Fill order decides whether a sheet fills across, then down or down, then across.

  • Sheet size - Same as pages (the page's own size, turned to suit the grid - two portrait pages go side by side on a landscape sheet), or A4, Letter, A3;
  • Sheet orientation - automatic, portrait or landscape;
  • Margin - the white edge around the sheet and between the pages;
  • Page borders - none, a thin or thick line, dashed or dotted, around every page.

A booklet

Booklet puts two pages on each side of a sheet in the order a fold needs: printed double-sided and folded down the middle, the pages read in order. The outermost sheet carries the last page beside the first; the page count is made up to a multiple of four with blank pages. Fold is left for languages read left to right, right for Hebrew or Arabic.

Booklet mode: each tile is the front or back of a physical sheet, the first sheet's front showing the last page beside the cover
Each tile is one side of a sheet; the first sheet's front carries the last page beside the cover.

Print double-sided, flipping on the short edge, then fold the stack in the middle.

Lay out and save

Press Lay out sheets - in booklet mode Make booklet. The line under the button counts the pages and the sheets they become. The new PDF is saved to your device at once - several files together as a ZIP.

Several files at once

Each file becomes its own PDF of sheets. Under Apply to, Selected file lets every file have its own layout; All files uses one layout for every file and sets their own aside. Copy to the other files gives the layout on screen to the other files.

Limits

Without an account, and with a free one, you can lay out two files in a run, each up to 15 MB. With Pro there is no limit on the number or the size, and you can save a layout as a preset.
